Women on Missions

Our Women on Mission meet each week on Wednesday mornings at 10:30am in Room 135. This group keeps our church informed of missions and ministry needs, whether it be local or international. They are instrumental in helping our church set and reach missions offering goals.
They also sponsor a Christmas party for the residents at one of our local healthcare facilities. The ladies make and collect baby kits to give to families along the Rio Grande River through our River ministry.
This ministry provides “heart pillows” to give to heart patients at UMC following heart surgery. Their latest ministry project is making padded covers for seat belt straps to give patients who have had pacemakers put in at UMC in Lubbock.
They also cook and serve several lunches during the year at the South Plains College Baptist Student Ministry in Levelland, Texas.
